Northbound Trilogy

-Overview-

Northbound is a linear, story-driven classic JRPG adventure made for the (You)RPGM GameJam #2. I’ve tried something different map-wise, every map is 1920x1080 (40x22 tiles) and I forced myself to never exceed this limit. I’ve used mainly stock resources but I added some Yanfly scripts and some custom overlay from other projects I’m working on at the moment. 

It’s a simple turn-based RPG with a story inspired by nordic mythology where three unusual warriors will have to team up to reach the top of the sacred mountains and battle to retrieve an ancient relic with the power to save or destroy the world.

- Northbound Story-

The sacred fountain was dry for almost a thousand years. No one could ever imagine that it would recover some day. Legends say that whoever will drink that water will see any wish granted. Explore a magic forest filled with monsters, ancient ruins, abandoned mines and secret dungeons to reach the infamous sacred mountain.

-Northbound 2 Story-

We found Svend, Revna and Gorm, after many adventures, resting in a tavern as usual. Just when their lead on a treasure fade away a stranger points them to a new adventure. Now in the extreme North of the continent, the cold will be a challange even for them.

-Northbound 3 Story-

Svend is stranded in another world after entering the portal at the end of their last adventure.  After many travels, many worlds, he lost hope on finding his old friends and decided that drinking is the best option for now. A new friend will bring back hope in him, and venture on a quest to find his friends.
